The reason for this blog

We are a couple (Australian & New Zealander) travelling throughout Europe for an extended period in a very large camper van. We are using camping/caravan sites on a regular basis and thought we would write up our opinions on each site, so that others might benefit from our experience. 


The guide books are very useful but often cannot offer the level of detail that we especially require because of the size of our vehicle. Also, there are small details that can make a difference to your stay, such as quality of the restaurant or the laundry etc. We will comment on each site with a view to the positives and negatives, as we see it. We don't have children or dogs, so cannot really comment too much on provisions for them. 


We are travelling in a Mercedes Unimog with a camper body. It is 3.4 metres high and almost 8 meters  long including the scooter on the back.

We've been on the road now in France and Spain for 3 months and at this stage haven't taken many photos of campsites, but will do so in the future.
